Rob Mitchell serves as president of Hampton Lake -- a 900-acre lake community in Bluffton, SC -- for Reed Development. In addition to overseeing operations for the company's successful development, named "America's Best" by the NAHB, he is also charged with strategic planning for the company's future projects and assessing current opportunities in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and the entire Southeast region.

Rob's record of achievement is significant and includes nine years as president of Reynolds Plantation -- a nationally-renowned 14,000-acre golf community in Georgia. At Reynolds he oversaw all aspects of development, operations, sales and marketing. In addition he has more than 20 years of management experience within the Walt Disney Company, was chief operating officer of the Kessler Collection of Hotels in Florida, a partner with Celebration Associates, and most recently a consultant with the award-winning Cliffs Communities in North and South Carolina.

Mitchell is a Georgia Tech graduate. He also holds a master's degree in Business Management from Rollins College and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. Mitchell served in the United States Navy as a lieutenant and was a member of the 1972 US Olympic Kayaking Team at the Munich Olympics. A long term member of the Urban Land Institute, Mitchell is also highly involved in several charitable organizations.
